Be a Part of those who Succeed in a Recession! I was reading through some real estate related blogs online recently and ran across a broker who said this: “Someone is always buying no matter what the market conditions…don’t give up” to his fellow realtors…

“Don’t give up. Someone is always buying no matter what the market conditions. Decide if you want to be part of those who succeed or the percentage who don’t. If you are part of those who succeed, you’ll achieve in real estate in the long run what other careers can’t offer without a 100k education. Don’t give up. Give 100% and you’ll make it…”

When I was in California last winter visiting family, real estate was slowing down considerably since the year before. I happened to meet a broker from California who said about the same thing to me when we talked “real estate conditions after having told him I publish a real estate magazine:

“I know realtors who are working harder to dominate markets right now, they are selling and they are making a great income. Yes these times make it harder to succeed but it’s also a time when those who work the hardest and help sellers sell homes at realistic prices on their properties come out ahead right when others are quitting.”

He continued… “After the initial ‘panic’ then it’s all about more branding, more presence, marketing in print and online, and doing the dirty work that many don’t want to do… pricing homes and properties so they can sell in these conditions. Not all realtors can handle these times, some quit. But those who ‘stay in the game,’ come out with less competition.”

Yes these are hard times, no one is going to deny it. But those who’ve seen “this” before in California, or in other times in history (after 9-11 for example), know that “this too shall pass…” It seems that there’s a lot of “reaction” in times like this but don’t give up! There will be a day this will be behind us…
